Three Little Birds and Me

Isn’t it funny how much we are affected by those external things?

It really hit me - with everything around us having a personal vibration of energy just how hard it is to maintain our own lovely, familiar vibe.
We are forever merging, bouncing off and linking in with all kinds of energy every day.  I suppose it’s like many people singing in the same room; at the end of the day you can’t seem to hold your own tune – not in your head, nor outside your head!
Listened to Bob Marley’s ‘Three Little Birds’ first thing this morning:
Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou:")

"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
So all’s well and good when all that makes you happy falls in your way...
But what if, like me you’re day is filled with overtime at work, missing your train, someone’s nicked your brolly and your cat decides that you really live on the 3rd and not the 4th floor of your block of flats - and so you’re faced with a disapproving neighbour who thinks you’re a terrible parent ‘cos she’s been crying outside the wrong flat for 15 minutes.....
Sorry Bob, but I was hardly smiling by the time my sun set.
Pulling myself together this morning, I stuck on Bob’s ‘Three Little Birds’, smiled at each person I met on the way to work (yes, I probably did look like a loony) and made my man a cup of tea in bed with a kiss.
Even if everything that crosses my path influences how I feel, it is still my eyes and my mind that choose to see and take note.
So ultimately, isn't it our responsibility to make sure that our eyes can light up our own mornings?
